If there are no compelling reasons for us to process your data on the basis of this legal basis, the processing of your data will be stopped. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for the purpose of direct marketing. In case of objection, your personal data will no longer be processed for the purpose of direct marketing. The lawfulness of the data processed until the objection is not affected by the objection.

Our principles

[4] We never sell, rent or trade personal information of our users with third parties for commercial purposes. We only collect the minimum amount of personal information necessary to provide our services to you, unless you voluntarily choose to provide more of such information. We encourage you to provide us, and more generally any digital service provider, with only the amount of information that you are comfortable with. When in doubt, do not disclose sensitive information. We provide you with easy ways to review, update and delete the information we have collected about you.

We never knowingly collect information from children under 16, and if you are a child under that age, you may not use any of our services. If we have a credible reason to believe that you are a user under the age of 16, we must prohibit you from further use of our services. You will continue to receive basic non promotional messages regarding your account, such as technical communications, order confirmations, or other service-related messages necessary for us to provide you with our services.

Cookies

[7] Cookies are small text files that contain small amounts of data. They are transferred from our servers to your device via your web browser or app. Your web browser or app then sends these small text files back to us each time you access our services. These cookies do not necessarily contain personal or personally identifiable information. However, they are often used to store a unique identifier for each individual user so that our servers do not lose information about who you are as you move through the various areas of our services. We may use cookies and similar technologies, such as "web storage" (especially "localStorage") and "internal storage", to make interactions with our services more convenient, efficient and secure. For example, we may use these technologies to keep you logged in and to maintain your preferences regarding our services. In this sense, cookies and similar technologies are essential to the operation of our services. You therefore agree to our use of cookies and similar technologies when you use our services. Without these technologies the use of our services would not be possible in a reasonable way. Your web browser or operating system usually offers options to delete such data currently stored on your device. There may even be methods available to completely disable the use of these technologies. You are welcome to use these settings and features in your web browser or operating system, but this may prevent our services from working properly for you. For more information on how to delete such data currently stored on your device, please refer to the manual or help section of your web browser or operating system.

The third party providers that provide this content may place cookies on your device for their own purposes and interests, which we cannot control. The settings and features of your web browser or operating system may allow you to control how third party providers may store cookies on your device.

CDN Provider (Cloudflare CDN)

[9] We host parts of our website at our contract processor Cloudflare, Cloudflare Germany GmbH, Rosental 7, 80331 Munich, Germany. Connection data is processed for the purpose of providing and delivering the website. For the mere purpose of delivery and provision of the website, the data is not stored beyond the call. However, the connection data will be stored by our order processor for security purposes. The duration of the processing for security purposes is variable and ends with the necessity of the security measures. In addition, our processor makes the collected data anonymous immediately after the collection and provides us with the anonymous data in the form of statistics for evaluation. We use these statistics for troubleshooting and for the further development of our website. The legal basis for the data processing is the legitimate interest (absolute technical necessity for the provision and delivery of the service "website" which you have expressly requested by calling it up) in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR

Disclosure requirements

[10] Laws in the jurisdictions in which we operate may require us to disclose certain personal information or other information we collect about our users to local law enforcement authorities. We may be compelled to make such disclosure by court order, warrant, search warrant, or similar request from a judicial or governmental authority, or when we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect the rights or property of us or others or the safety of the general public. In either case, we will provide information only to the extent necessary to comply with the request and, whenever possible and permitted by law, we will use reasonable efforts to notify affected users of such disclosure.

Storage and deletion of data

[11] We will retain certain personal information for as long as you use our services, as long as your user account exists or as necessary to provide our services to you. If you wish to terminate your use of our services, delete your user account, or remove your personal information. You can do so in the respective sections of our services. If you need assistance, please contact us. Our contact details are listed below. To prevent loss of data due to human error or system failure, we keep additional backup copies, as most companies and service providers do, which may contain parts of your personal information. This means that parts of your personal information may remain temporarily on our servers even after deletion or termination of your use of our services. We may retain and use your personal information and data for as long as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our rights and agreements.

Service providers, contractors and representatives

[12] From time to time, we may share some of the information we have collected about you, including personal information, with a limited number of third parties, including suppliers, service providers, contractors, distributors and agents. We do this solely to perform certain functions for us and on our behalf. Such third parties help us provide and improve our services. Functions that these parties perform for us and on our behalf may include payment processing, network data transfer, fraud prevention, customer service administration and similar services. These third parties are not authorized to use the information we share about you beyond what is necessary to assist us in the specific task at hand.

International data transmissions

[13] Some of our external service providers and recipients of personal information are located outside your country and outside our country. This means that the processing of your personal data by these third party providers involves an international transfer of your data to a third country. Such third countries may have privacy policies that differ from those in your country or ours. Therefore, for each international transfer of data, we will ensure that appropriate technical, organizational and contractual measures are taken to ensure that your data is afforded similar protection internationally and that your personal information remains protected according to the standards described in this statement.

We ensure that at least one of the following protective measures is implemented:

[14] The country of the recipient offers an adequate level of data protection according to the European Commission. The recipient is certified under the EU-US and Swiss-US Privacy Shields. Standard contractual clauses, introduced or approved by the European Commission, are available. The recipient has binding internal data protection rules that guarantee the protection of personal data. Please contact us if you would like more information about the specific measures we use when transferring your personal data internationally.

How we secure your information

[15] We take the trust you have placed in us very seriously. We have therefore implemented all measures that are reasonably necessary to protect our users' personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, deletion, disclosure or other misuse. We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the information that is submitted to us, both during transmission and after receipt, and we continually expand our security measures as technology changes. In particular, all connections to and from our services are encrypted using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and Transport Layer Security (TLS) technologies. However, please note that despite our best efforts, no method of electronic data transmission or data storage is completely secure and no measures can guarantee absolute security. Errors in hardware or software and other factors can affect the security of users' data, as is the case with all other providers of digital services. Please remember that the protection of your personal information is also your responsibility in other respects. In particular, you are responsible for protecting any passwords and other authentication information you use to access our services and for restricting access to the devices you use. You should never disclose your authentication information to third parties and you should notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
